To downgrade the GOG GALAXY app from the experimental features & updates version to the regular one, first try to disable it in the application settings.
- Click on the cogwheel icon in the top-left corner
- Choose „Settings”
- In the GENERAL section of the settings, disable the „Experimental features & updates” checkbox
If the setting is non-interactable, that means that there is an experimental update being currently tested. You can either wait until the experiment is finished and then uncheck the setting, or do a reinstall of the GOG GALAXY app.
Reinstalling GOG GALAXY will not remove games from your library or affect tags and game edits. It will however cause the following data to be removed:
- platform integrations authorization (you’ll have to log in again to sync external platforms)
- custom sidebar bookmarks
- installed GOG games locations (fix for this is described on the bottom)
- custom executables
If the checkbox is not clickable, then unfortunately a reinstallation of GOG GALAXY is required. Please follow these instructions to reinstall GOG GALAXY:
