There are three possible solutions to this problem. Please try them in this order:
1) Set the game's compatibility mode to Windows XP. To do this, Right click the shortcut, select Properties, go into the Compatibility tab, check "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and select Windows XP. You might also need to do this for the client.exe file, located in Shogo's main folder,
2) [For Windows Vista] Launch the game by right-clicking the shortcut and selecting "Run as Administrator",
3) When launching Shogo, click Advanced (in the game's launcher window) and check the option "Disable DirectX 6 commands". Click OK and start the game.
