PLEASE FOLLOW THESE TROUBLESHOOTING STEPS:
1) Please make sure that you use "Run as Administrator" to install and to start the game (right-click on the shortcut or setup file and select "Run as Administrator").
Please note: This doesn’t apply if you are running the game via Galaxy.
2) Please reinstall the game AND add it to your antivirus/firewall software exception/trusted list. Simply disabling firewall or AV software could not be enough, since some of these software are running still in background or in services list.
3) Please make sure that your Windows user have full control over the game installation folder, as well as the game save folder. To do this please follow these steps:
I) Right-click the folder that you want to take ownership of, then click Properties.
II) Go to Security -> Edit
III) Press Add… and in the name field write your Windows user name. Click on Check Names (watch out for any typos!). Windows will propose path in the format of: COMPUTER-NAME\YOUR-USER-NAME
For example: COMPUTER\JOHN
IV) Please check the proposed path name and if it's correct, then click on the Ok button.
V) This will add your user to the list. Under Permissions for YOUR-USERNAME select Full control - Allow
VI) Press Ok, to save changes in Permissions Settings, and Ok to leave Properties
